This policy explains how File to MP4 (filetomp4.com) handles information when you use the converter and related pages.

Video files

When you convert MOV to MP4 on the home page, the file is selected on your device and processed only in your browser with ffmpeg.wasm. We do not operate an upload endpoint for your video, and the conversion flow is designed so your file never leaves your device as part of using the tool.

Closing or refreshing the page clears the in-memory result. There is no conversion history or cloud storage of your videos.

Accounts and logins

The tool does not require an account. We do not ask you to create a login to convert a file.

Basic site hosting

Like most websites, the hosting provider (for example Cloudflare Pages after launch) may receive standard technical request data such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL for security and reliability. That is separate from your video file, which is not uploaded for conversion.

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics (Google tag ID G-WF428K9CGL) to measure how the site is used, such as pages visited and general device or browser information. Google may set cookies and process that usage data under Google’s privacy policy. Video files you convert are not sent to Google Analytics.

Future third-party ads

The site may later show third-party advertisements (for example display or affiliate ads) to support free access. If ads are enabled, those partners may set cookies or collect device/browser data according to their own policies. We will update this page when ads go live and name the relevant partners where practical.
